Key Questions
What is a sacrament? A sacrament is an action or some words in which God gives us His grace.
What is grace? Grace is God’s loving help which He gives to us freely to save us.
Jesus loved the sick people and made them well. He talked to sinners and told them that God loved them.
He made friends with the poor and rich alike.
Jairus and his wife had great faith and when their daughter became seriously ill, they turned to Jesus for help.

Key Questions
What is mortal sin? A mortal sin is a serious offence against God. Mortal sins must be confessed in the Sacrament of Penance. God sent us the Ten Commandments through Moses. Those are laws he wants us to keep and not break.
What are less serious sins called? Less serious sins are called venial sins. We must still ask for God’s forgiveness for venial sins.
Zaccheus was loved by Jesus even though he stole from people. He asked Jesus to forgive him of this sin and said that he was sorry.
We too can come to Jesus in the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Penance) when we do something wrong and wish to say sorry and ask for forgiveness.
