The Bible is made up of:
The Old Testament
The New Testament
Look at who we know in the Old Testament:
Abraham—who had a great love for God and did what God asked of Him
God made Abraham the father of a new nation: Israel
God rescued the people of Israel when they were slaves in Egypt and gave them wonderful food in the desert when they were hungry (Manna from Heaven). He gave some laws to their leader who was then Moses so that the people of Israel would know what is right and wrong. The laws that he gave to Moses are called:
The Ten Commandments
God gave the Israelites their own country to live in and sent them Kings and Prophets (other leaders) to help them keep His laws. He wanted his people to follow Him.
